An example of AMT making #393 88 mins late out of Chicago
Author: PC1974

#391 left earlier in the day loosing time blamed on CN operations... See following thread..

http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,4252350

Later in the day we have a repeat that with a sister train being in a State of Amtrak Repair..

#393 left terminal 88 minutes late... Too easy to resist sharing the gift of tardy.

If the passengers need to be somewhere in a hurry, or have to be on time, they should drive like the rest of us do.

Driving is no guarantee of being on time with congestion, accidents, weather, etc. While Amtrak has no control of how badly they are treated by the host railroads, they do control the state of repair of their equipment just like you control the state of repair of your car or truck.  No excuse for something crapping out shortly after leaving the gate. Thankfully they aren't in the airline business.

Airlines have plenty of mechanical problems and you know it. But as usual, you enjoy listening to yourself.
