Passenger Trains > Capitol CorridorDate: 04/28/17 13:51 Capitol Corridor Author: John The Capitol Corridor people are good about putting out alerts when trains are delayed and delays, except for breakdowns and auto/pedestrian strikes, usually are of short duration. This one at noon today caught my attention, however. Makes you wonder.
" Due to police activity, train 528 is being held at the Suisun/Fairfield Station. It is estimated that the time of the delay will be approximately 2 hours." Date: 04/28/17 16:30 Re: Capitol Corridor Author: mundo Typical in this world now, with police activity.
Date: 04/28/17 19:37 Re: Capitol Corridor Author: BoilingMan Several years ago, during "police activity" near Emeryville an officer got bumped, not killed, by a passing train. (I don't remember if it was freight or passenger that did the bonking). This kinda pissed off the local PD, and ever after they've made a point of shutting down everything if things happen anywhere near RR RoW.
