Amtrak has not issued a Service Eruption...

But, for anyone looking to ride 350 today, it's still setting at CUS with engine failure.

I'm sitting at Hammond Whiting still waiting for the train which is scheduled to arrive at 8:41 according to the Amtrak site. That's about an hour late

Heard him call a "slow clear" for CP 482 at 9:58 am - about 1'42" LT. He had to wait for #351 to clear the MI Line (don't know why Amtrak didn't accept him first and put him on the new controlled siding between CP 239 and CP 238 that IN paid for?)
Wonder what happened to his original engine?

I saw this on a CSX loco in Hammond, IN, near the Amtrak station. A friend of mine, then in high school, happened to be there also, and chased the train on his bike to alert them of the problem. I watched them change out the axle a few days later.
