Passenger Trains > Damaged Amtrak Veterans P42 heading west

The Amtrak Veterans diesel, AMTK 42, which suffered damage when it
hit a tree while leading the Crescent, is heading for Chicago and
Beech Grove. It is the trail unit on the Capitol Limited,
reported behind the AMTK 90.

From the collision with the tree, it has damage to the bolted nose
around one marker light; the headlights, front safety appliances...
and there is damage to the engineer's side, including the cab door
and intake grillwork.
