12 hour 4 minutes late #4 into Topeka, KS.

For my first trip out to chase a train after my total knee replacement I went after a very tardy Amtrak #4. I chose one of my favorite places in the Topeka area, the Pauline Coop elevator on the south edge of Topeka. Between 2 locomotive changes and a tornado Amtrak should be lucky the thing is still on the tracks.

Great shot, Wes! I'm surprised that you were able to get some sun on it. By the time it made it up to the station, the clouds had already taken control.

I believe it was the same engine from Winslow. AFAIK,they had changed the engine number on the advisory page in error.
That engine looks pretty good though with the Amtrak consist! Thanks Wes!

What do you think? The OP said Amtrak is lucky the thing stayed on the tracks.
