Conway Yes, indeed they were! Cable Car Room was under the dome. From what I've heard out of Duluth they are still in the process of restoring the lounge but in a nod to local history they will replace the (already long-gone) San Francisco mural with one of Duluth harbor and the Rainbow Bridge. Note also the car carries "BURLINGTON" on the letterboard instead of "CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR," again a variation done in recognition of its new role and location. Car looks outstanding, hoping to get back up there and ride it! NZ Date: 06/28/17 18:43 Re: Silver Club ex-CB&Q 250 dome buffet lounge Author: gbmott ctjacks Wrote:

This is a Work in Progress -- the furnishings are just temporary and there is other detail work yet to be done. At the moment, though, the interior is as below: Gordon Date: 06/28/17 18:45 Re: Silver Club ex-CB&Q 250 dome buffet lounge Author: gbmott Date: 06/28/17 22:00 Re: Silver Club ex-CB&Q 250 dome buffet lounge Author: bwyrick Judging by the lack of a vestibule, is this of the same type of car and floor plan as Sierra Hotel was prior to rebuilding with an observation deck?
Brody Wyrick Reno, NV Date: 06/28/17 22:45 Re: Silver Club ex-CB&Q 250 dome buffet lounge Author: davew833 Yes, Sierra Hotel was originally "Silver Lounge", built for mid-train lounge/dorm service on the CB&Q.
