Judge Hazel granted government's motion for summary judgement. DOL had cited numerous "irregularities" in how union officer elections were conducted in 2015.

This is a very healthy development. The union somehow missed the deaths of many members in track accidents, collisions, etc. And, when insurgents inside the union decide it was time to unseat the long time "leadership", stuff happened.

The leadership, like the DC Council leadership, became very comfortable and stopped looking out for the members / residents they were supposed to be serving. Nothing like a good insurgency to get people moving fast...
