Passenger Trains > NEC wires down?

Any word on service? Reportedly wires down between PHIL and Wilmington.

Well, the Amtrak service advisory this morning, about 11:30, said Verizon wires had fallen on their wires and all trains were stopped between Wilmington and Philadelphia. I had a family member on one, who didn't know what was happening and why they were stopped. Now there is no mention on the Amtrak service Advisory site, so I presume all is back in order. Haven't heard from family member about length of delay.

I thought sure someone on TO.com would have all the details!

Well I have no accurate details whatsoever but I was watching trains at the Aberdeen station earlier this afternoon and didn't see any southbound trains for a while. Perhaps the wire issue was the cause. Seems like I saw almost as many trains on the CSX tracks as on the corridor.
