Antelope Valley Line Limited Service

Metrolink will perform track work on the Antelope Valley Line on Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24.

As a result, fewer trains will operate and bus service will be used on the AV Line. Normally, Metrolink offers six trains in both directions on weekends, but only two trains will be available in each direction for this project: 262, 263, 270 and 271.

Trains to 262 and 270 will travel from Lancaster to Los Angeles Union Station with bus service between Vincent Grade/Acton to Newhall. Trains 263 and 271 will travel from LA Union Station to Lancaster, with bus service from Newhall to Vincent Grade/Action.

Riders can expect delays of up to 40 minutes.

On weekends that line is pretty much "The Prison Visitors Special". Which is why Metrolink provides service on this line on weekends and holidays.

Yeah right, people use it to get to work even on the weekends, pleasure, and even making connections with Amtrak Trains!

They have been prepping a new culvert for installation near Reuther and Soledad Canyon Rd in Canyon Country so I assume this is what the work window is for.

They dont really connect with Amtrak. Just with other Metrolink Trains.
Unless you are lucky to get there in time. They prefer Metrolink Passenger to
connect with their own trains.
