Bombardier Bilevel CEM Cab Cars on Sounder
Author: Phantom_of_Cajon

Two of Sounder's CEM Cab Cars were placed into revenue service for the evening commute last night. There are a total of five on the property with 4 more yet to be delivered from Thunder Bay. One more cab car will enter revenue service today with the last two on the property at this time tomorrow.

Curious about these new cab cars. Can those be placed mid-train? I know you can't walk between cars, but I wonder if they could be used that way in a pinch.

Yes, they can be placed mid-train and you are correct, you cannot walk through them.

However, in a pinch they would be placed behind the engine with the nose of the cab car against the rear of the locomotive.

Same as what Metrolink does with their Rotem cabcars.
