Passenger Trains > FEC / Brightline testing this weekend?

CBS 12 TV reports that Florida East Coast will close a number of grade crossings all weekend to complete work on the crossing signals for Brightline train operations. Other crossings in the West Palm - Lake Worth - Boca Raton area may close for parts of the weekend, or may have crossing signals out of service.

in the past, that has meant Brightline trains out and about, testing activation of crossings, etc. Deputies and signals / gates maintainers at the crossings are often a good clue something is afoot.

Brightline has been testing every afternoon this week, and are planning to test Saturday and Sunday as well. I suspect that we are not too far out from seeing them doing schedule "dry runs".

Saw them yesterday afternoon downtown Delray Beach, about a block S of Atlantic, testing gates. No delay to speak of.
