Passenger Trains > Last hurrah in the Pacific Parlour Car 2/2 departure from LA

We decided at the last minute to grab one of the sleepers for the last Coast Starlight trip north to Seattle with the Pacific Parlour Car. The crew has been great, and it seems like a lot of people are onboard like we are for one last opportunity to enjoy the PPC. We were surprised when we boarded to find not just one, but two Parlour cars, and both have been well utilized, everyone’s talking about the end of an era.

We’re just south of Portland right now waiting for #11 to pass us. We’re not looking forward to this trip coming to an end in Seattle, but we’re grateful we had a chance to be on board. I tried to include a couple of images, but was unable to do so after trying to follow the photo guidelines.
