Author: czephyr17 Looking at UP's implementation progress map it appears the entire route from Joliet to Dallas over which the Eagle operates on UP trackage has had PTC implemented already, except for Bismark to Poplar Bluff, MO which the UP indicates will not require PTC.
BNSF trackage from Fort Worth to Temple has had PTC implemented (all required BNSF mileage systemwide is implemented), and UP trackage from Temple to San Antonio over which Amtrak operates is scheduled to have PTC implemented in the 2nd to 4th quarter of 2018. I did not find information specific about CN between Chicago and Joliet or the TRE between Dallas and Fort Worth. West of San Antonio, the UP map indicates San Antonio to Del Rio will be implemented 2nd to 4th quarter, 2018; Del Rio to El Paso is already implemented; El Paso to Tuscon will be implemented during the 1st quarter, 2018; Tuscon to Yuma will be implemented 2nd to 4th quarter, 2018, and Yuma to Los Angeles is already implemented.
