Passenger Trains > CSX Palmetto, FL SubDate: 04/25/18 03:43 CSX Palmetto, FL Sub Author: gg1tim Last Friday April 20 my wife and I drove north on US 41 to Ruskin to do some shopping. While passing Port Manatee I could see that the siding was empty of any rail cars. This was about 10:00 am. Upon returning around 11;45 am on US 41 we saw a whole string - about 20-25 - cars that looked like grain carrying cars. My question is what train could that be and were the cars loads or empties? I was trying to see if the power was visible but was blocked by trees after a short distance from passing the area where I could see the siding. So it appears that this train came into Port Manatee sometime between after 10:00 am and 11:30 am so any info would be appreciated.
