Passenger Trains > Coast Starlight confusion

On the Western board is a notice from UP regarding Tunnel 11 progress.

Checking with Amtrak, they are selling tickets on 11/14 from June 20th. That's the information an Amtrak agent gave me.

I'd tend to believe UP's estimate of completion first. After all, it's their tunnel. But all this makes for much uncertainty for passengers. I had planned to ride out of SEA on June 22nd. A friend is booked on 14 passing through Tunnel 11 on June 24th. What to do?

It's ok, it'll take you until the 23rd to get there anyway.

I just got an email from Amtrak telling me my Portland to Sacramento trip is cancelled on the 23rd..

Amtrak only knows what UP tells them about the closure.
