Several residents expected some thing approaching absolute quiet, but are upset as trains blow for track workers etc. Others are concerned the trains are too quiet. In other news, BL struck and killed a person on its tracks Wednesday evening. I believe part of the problem is the QZ was presented to neighbors as an absolute, when, as you note, it is dependent on many factors. On my BL trip this weekend, I was amazed at the amount of crossing work going on in the three counties. Another article in the Post this morning says police have concluded it was likely a suicide, though the investigation is not quite complete yet. |
