Passenger Trains > NYC "Hickory Creek" on October 6thDate: 10/14/18 17:28 NYC "Hickory Creek" on October 6th Author: OCtrainguy On October 6th, Amtrak train 69, the Montreal bound Adirondack, had former New York Central observation car "Hickory Creek" on the end of it. The car is currently owned by the URHS and is housed at their yard in Boonton, NJ. I saw the car while boarding at New York Penn Station, but due to the number of people boarding there (sold out train south of Albany) and wanting to get a window seat, I just boarded. However, during the engine change at Albany, I got some photos of the car on its home rails.
1. Side view of the observation car 2. The end the car A few more to follow.. Date: 10/14/18 17:30 Re: NYC "Hickory Creek" on October 6th Author: OCtrainguy My station stop was Port Henry, NY, so I photographed the observation car as the train was departing.
3. Pulling out of the station. 4. Going away look at the car Hope you enjoy! Date: 10/14/18 17:34 Re: NYC "Hickory Creek" on October 6th Author: GoodTimeCharlie Wow !
