Passenger Trains > More BrightLine litigation over safetyDate: 10/17/18 08:03 More BrightLine litigation over safety Author: Lackawanna484 A lawyer representing the families of two people killed on BrightLine tracks has spoken out about what he calls poor safety practices.
In one case, a person was sitting on the tracks and failed to move as the train horn sounded. In the other case, a person went around the down gates and attempted to cross the tracks. In both cases cab video caught their last moments and the presence of horn, crossing protection, etc. I hope, after BrightLine gets the charges dismissed, they go after the lawyer for bringing these frivolous cases. Date: 10/17/18 09:00 Re: More BrightLine litigation over safety Author: PHall Nope, he'll keep bringing them. Just like the "lawyer" here in California who has filed over a hundred lawsuits over alleged ADA violations.

The rampant scams of filling suit over alleged ADA violations is a completely different animal than the normal outlook in our society that it must be some one else's fault and therefore we must sue them. Date: 10/17/18 09:26 Re: More BrightLine litigation over safety Author: SP4360 The only poor saftey practices here are the 2 idiots who disregarded their own safety safety. Brightline needs to sue the families and lawyer on behalf of the crew and passengers.

But sueing the lawyer for frivilous lawsuits. Now that has some merit. You would think that a judge would simply throw these garbage lawsuits out and issue a summary judgment. Date: 10/17/18 10:06 Re: More BrightLine litigation over safety Author: SP4360 You would think, but not in this country.

The only thing they can do is not to accept the client.

This usually can occur only after multiple instances of frivolous legal actions. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vexatious_litigation#United_States ...Lorenzo |
