Locomotives handling Shore Line East trains

Since six former NJ Transit and Amtrak P40s headed to Beech Grove for overhaul last month, what units have been handling the Shore Line East trains?
Is there interchangeability between the locomotives used in SLE service and CTrail Hartford line trains?
Bonus question - Have the four former NJT P40s EVER been used by CT in any service?

I thought ConnDOT bought 7 P40's directly from Amtrak some years ago, then NJT sold them their 4 recently.

The remaining in service P40's and GP40's are being used on Shore Line East and CTrail trains.
