Not the first time out here on the West coast either.

The SP had an electrician who worked the afternoon shift at the Roseville roundhouse, and the day shift as an electrician at a lumber mill.  The only problem was that the two shifts overlapped a little, and there was driving time.  His solution to that was to have another electrician clock in for him, and he never got caught.

It is not as if these people were holding down two full-time jobs at both places at the same time, because down in the article a bit, the total identified fraud is only $7,500 over 4 years. Not that it's right.

Many politicians hold three jobs. Full pay, full pensions for each.

One current senator served as a school board superintendent, county freeholder, and state assemblyman. At the same time.

People elected since 2010 can only participate in one pension at a timem

It could be that's all the US Attorney needed in the charging documents in order to trigger the felony fraud charge.

A common practice on the D&H's day Oneonta (NY) Yard job in 1970 was for the engineer to clock in the fireman at reporting time; halfway through the shift the fireman would actually show up, the engineer would leave, and at the end of the day the fireman would clock the engineer off.
