#92 lost nearly six hours on Dec. 5-6 from Palatka to Jacksonville.  Was this a pedestrian fataily or mechanical?

Reportedly got stuck behind a coal train that struck a trespasser south of Jax.

92 and 91 met at Winokur (north of Folkston) and swapped engineers.

10 hours late out of Camden, SC. If someone wants to ride an overnight train from Raleigh to NY, here's your chance.

The passengers on this train are receiving the kind of disgraceful treatment that has pushed long distance trains to the bottom of the heap of travel modes.

Anderson takes no actions--never protests, and the freight railroads are never called to account--never punished.

An occasional late train is to be expected -- but that is not what's happening to the LD trains - which are chronically late, by staggering amounts of time.

The answer is political pressure on Anderson and the Freights..  Otherwise, this lateness will result in ridership declines leading to train-offs.  Ridership figures indicate this decline has already begun in earnest.

I don't disagree with your assessment, but in this case a trespasser was killed when he got hit by a coal train.  Now if you have video of Anderson pushing the guy in front of the coal train....LOL

Looking at RGH for the first days of December...
91 of the 1st was 23 mins late.
91 of the 2nd was 14 mins late.
91 of the 3rd was 30 mins late.
91 of the 4th was OT.
91 of the 5th was 49 mins late.
92 of the 30th was 34 mins late.
92 of the 1st was 2 hrs 32 mins late.
92 of the 2nd was 39 mins late.
92 of the 3rd was 50 mins late.
92 of the 4th was 2 hrs 6 mins late.

Time-keeing problems on this route go back way before Anderson! It's been this way for 15+ years, even though the schedule is padded compared to 30 years ago.

If you think there is some kind of pixie dust that you can sprinkle on CSX and SunRail to make them run Amtrak trains on time, I'd like to know what it is. Or if you think you could litigate CSX into capitulation, I'd like to know the name of that law firm, how much money you have to spend on lawyers, the basis for your court action, and the names of the judges whom you expect to rule in your favor.
