December's low, golden sunlight illuminates every detail as Amtrak Train #6, the eastbound "California Zephyr," backs toward Chicago Union Station behind P42 #6 upon its arrival in the Windy City. Passengers were greeted by a clear but cold day here, with the sun not helping out the 25 F degree afternoon very much.

Number 6 looks in good shape considering it’s front end was burnt out on the Eagle only three months ago.
