As much as I like Jalama Beach, that road scares me. People with more money then brains trying to drive their 40 foot diesel pusher RV on that road using both sides of the road at once!

Never have been. Is this real? I know it is a very winding road, but how wide?

It’s a 14-mile, two-lane county road, with no passing zones.

If you’re lucky, slower motorists will pull over to let others pass.

It’s wide enough for motor homes, but some have a tendency to cross over the double yellow as they lumber to or from the beach.

Packs of bicycleists can slow your journey, too.

But it’s beautiful once you get there.

Part of the problem are the Oak Trees that hang over the road in places. Taller vehicles, like those pusher RV's tend to move towards the center of the road so they won't hit the trees.
