Anybody know what's up ? TIA Z(Lake Shore is scheduled to depart 9:30 pm undernormal circumstances) Date: 01/09/19 19:39 Re: Tonight's #30 Over Two Hours Late Departing Author: mp16 Lake Shore #48 departed on time at 9:30 pm.
Station status board at Chicago still shows #30 as in the station. One revised departure time was 7:25 pm but it is long past that time now. WIll the train ever depart ? An equipment problem perhaps ? Date: 01/09/19 19:57 Re: Tonight's #30 Over Two Hours Late Departing Author: jp1822 Well it is slightly under 20 degrees in Chicago tonight, so perhaps a cold snap got to the train equipment. However, usuall it gets to the low level equipment first, partiucarly Viewliner Sleepers!

This is one stretch of Amtrak that cannot be driven that fast—I tried once when my car was at Alliance and my trade show boxes were coming off at Cleveland and the station closed when the train left—had to go back after the freight.
