Passenger Trains > Pennsylvanians on Jan. 10Date: 01/10/19 21:28 Pennsylvanians on Jan. 10 Author: mp109 The eastbound Pensylvanian, Amtrak no. 42 ran from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg on Thursday behind
a set of NS SD40E helper engines nos. 6313 and 6303. Top speed according to the Transitdocs app was 65.4 mph. Surprisingly they arrived into Harrisburg only 14 minutes late. They left the Harrisburg station 35 minutes late, no doubt due to having to remove the NS engines and attach the Harrisburg protection engine. The westbound Pennsylvanian, Amtrak no. 43 appeared normal. Date: 01/11/19 02:38 Re: Pennsylvanians on Jan. 10 Author: altoonafn State of good repair
Date: 01/11/19 10:29 Re: Pennsylvanians on Jan. 10 Author: JR24 On Jan 9, Regional 176 left Roanoke 2+ hours late, led by NS 4045. It's shown towing P42 181 and consist at Midland, VA. I guess all the protect engines are out of service.
