Passenger Trains > New Haven, CT midday trainsDate: 02/08/19 18:16 New Haven, CT midday trains Author: OCtrainguy On January 25th, I took the train to visit my son at college. I had about a 45 minute layover in New Haven. Here are some highlights of what I saw.
1. My train, #172, about ready to leave New Haven. 2. CT Rail trainset at the station. I really like the paint scheme on this engine. 3. These former Amtrak P40s now in use for Connecticut commuter rail lines. More to follow... Date: 02/08/19 18:21 Re: New Haven, CT midday trains Author: OCtrainguy Continuing the photos.
4. Acela train 2163 leaving the station 5. The Vermonter, train 56, arriving 6. At first, I was bummed I left my big lens in the train as I photographed the engine change from electric to diesel, but am pleased with how this came out with the signal really standing out. A few more to follow.. Date: 02/08/19 18:24 Re: New Haven, CT midday trains Author: OCtrainguy Last of the photos..
7. The coach and electric engine heading through the station after cutting away from the Vermonter 8. The two diesels back to our train as they will power the train from here I had a nice flurry of activity during my layover. Hope you enjoy the photos. |
