Passenger Trains > F59 and Double Header P42s on SurflinerDate: 02/10/19 12:57 F59 and Double Header P42s on Surfliner Author: erielackawanna Back on January 27 a friend and I went out to shoot F59PHI 458 on a northbound Surfliner, thinking it may be the last run or close to it. From what I understand, 458, the lone in service F59, is still working in California as I write this. Still, these may be my last ever shots of it. Managed to catch it twice, once in Santa Susana and thanks to my friend's driving, once again in Moorpark. We then waited in Moorpark for the next southbound which had a mix of three different paint schemes on its cars and a double-heading pair of P42s on the fast shove.
Images one and two are of A1767 at Santa Susana. Image three is of A1767 coming out of Moorpark. Date: 02/10/19 12:59 Re: F59 and Double Header P42s on Surfliner Author: erielackawanna Image four is of southbound 782 racing towards the station in Moorpark.
Image five is of 782 shoving out of Van Nuys. Advice to others - chasing Amtraks ain't easy! :-) Date: 02/10/19 14:14 Re: F59 and Double Header P42s on Surfliner Author: texchief1 Nice shots!
