Passenger Trains > Amtrak 6 plugged in Roseville

The eastbound Zephyr is stuck in Roseville because there are wires down on the tracks east of here. It is 3:23 now so the train is down at least 4 hours.

I’m on this train now, and we were able to get out of Roseville at approximately 3:50 pm. They handled the stop well, and they made plenty of announcements to keep everyone informed. They also allowed us to get off the train and walk into town which many seemed to do. I believe the wires that blew down were in Rocklin. The train seems fairly full both in coaches and sleepers - we’re in the bedrooms, and all but ‘A’ is full in our car. Our SCA has been very attentive. 

My observation is that people will put up patiently with almost any inconvenience, if they're kept informed. Honestly, of course—"We'll be moving in a minute or two" can't be "information" for hours at a time.
 

Better late than never, what's the ETA into Chicago for no. 6!
