Passenger Trains > #6 as #102 @ Rawhide CrossingDate: 02/14/19 19:30 #6 as #102 @ Rawhide Crossing Author: BoilingMan A late Zephyr tonight in the Sierra, running not too far off the SP's City of San Francisco schedule. TO member Stevo_W gave me a heads-up that #6 was running pretty late, so I figured , "why not... "
This is what I came up with out at Rawhide Crossing near Gorge. SR Date: 02/14/19 23:30 Re: #6 as #102 @ Rawhide Crossing Author: Odyssey Thanks for posting ...
Interesting images ... both #1 and #2 were certainly worth the effort ... Appreciate your sharing the "experiments" even if they were not quite the usual BoilingMan quality images ... Odyssey Evergreen, CO Date: 02/14/19 23:47 Re: #6 as #102 @ Rawhide Crossing Author: chrisparker Your shots are just as your eyes saw it?
You and the camera are working well together. Dark location. The real thing. Nice Shots. I can feel the cold and moisture. LoL Thanks for sharing. I will stay here in San Pedro. Thank you very much. I’m experimenting with really high ISO’s to hand hold the camera. I’m not crazy about the resulting “noise”. The conditions are pretty crazy here at Gorge, with rain, snow, and fog in constant flux due to the winds coming up the canyon. But do you wear a side arm at night to protect against mountain lions? Date: 02/15/19 01:25 Re: #6 as #102 @ Rawhide Crossing Author: BoilingMan No. I guess I’ve never really thought of myself as “tasty”.

Date: 02/15/19 08:59 Re: #6 as #102 @ Rawhide Crossing Author: BoilingMan I dunno- I kinda like my light “available”
Hmmmm.... but then again.. I wonder what I might get with my car’s headlights? The berm of snow is pretty high. I MIGHT be able to get past that with my portable ramps.. SR I’ll get back to you on this. Date: 02/15/19 20:57 Re: #6 as #102 @ Rawhide Crossing Author: phthithu Great work! Very interesting tones in photo 1. Noise seems negligible to me so good work on that score too.
