A refreshingly thorough description of a real horror-show of complications, none of which were the fault (by action or inaction) of Metra Electric.  Many kudos to the workers who restored the line to service in the worst of conditions.  The pictures were a good addition to sketchy news accounts at the time.

Agreed, that is some terribly bad luck and it is interesting to hear it all in more detail. Sitting in those buckets up in the wind has to have been brutal.
