Passenger Trains > Montreal to Halifax on Via Rail

Check out my post on the Canadian board for some Via Rail traffic around Montreal last week. My dad and I took The Ocean from Montreal to Halifax and back. It was a pretty great trip!

From what I am reading, you had better ride this train soon, before VIA pulls it off.

Yes, on board the train some of the Via staff expressed concerns after September in not being able to turn the train there at the port terminal area

According to the current Five-year plan, VIA has an agreement with Halterm until Nov. 1, 2020.

An excerpt: "With the support and mediation of Transport Canada, VIA Rail, reached an agreement with Halterm, effective June 11, 2018, to continue to access the loop track at the Port of Halifax up to November 1st, 2020."
