It happened again!
Author: mp109

Well, it happened again. (see my previous post about same engines on trains 42 and 43 in different years.) Also interestingly
they also are at the same location; this time west of the Harrisburg station. As one person pointed out. however, this may not
be such an extreme coincidence as the Pennsylvanians 2. do have a limited number of engines available because need for ACSES.
1. No. 42 on April 14, 2018
2. No. 42 on April 14, 2019
3. No. 43 on April 14, 2018

No surprises here.  #43/42's engines must be equipped with both ACSES and I-ETMS to operate PHI-PIT. This is the only route where this holds true, so they will have only a limited number of dual-equipped locos. Since all Amtrak's P-42s are, or soon will be, equipped with I-ETMS, the "add-on" here is ACSES.

We had 86 on the Crescent twice about the same time and it would give a penalty at 77 mph. Keep it up north as it was too slow for the flat lands and straight track of Mississippi and Louisiana. As you all know Crescent always runs on time

I need 86 for haulage so please send it back down to Atlanta again so I can scoop it in!!! Another common 42/43 engine is 120 and that is a huge slotter as they say in the UK. So pair 86 and 120 up on train 19 and jobs a goodun!

No "coincidences" today. No. 43 had engine no. 99.
