That car barn was built as part of the Green line project which connected the airport to downtown and the ran up and over UP’s Roper yard out to West Valley. The original car barn (was remodeled from an existing building) is along the Red line in Midvale and has cars for the Blue Line which is just around the corner. It’s next to the yard used by Utah Railway and Savage.
