Bring an umbrella for seat 17A
Author: Raja

Regional train #140 on 5/12/19.  As a fairly frequent rider, I have witnessed this on several occasions.  Train was packed.  Poor girl in that seat amassed almost a full cup of water which she showed the conductor upon exiting.

Very common on the Amfleet I cars, don't know about the Amfleet II's.  I've seen many passengers (and crew) get soaked when the train goes around a curve, comes to a stop or starts moving.

I once got soaked by dripping water from the AC on an old NWA now Delta 747-400 upon takeoff. I was in the last row of Business Class and that's where the water ended up. For my trouble, I got a profuse apology from the Purser, a different seat, and 5,000 miles deposited in my account without asking. What did Amtrak do for this woman?  (BTW, Anderson was in charger of Delta then).

Knowing the way Anderson is, they charged her extra for the water!
