Fullerton, CA - three different 'trains' (rail vehicles)
Author: casco17

These are all from Fullerton, CA this morning

1. LA - bound Metrolink train with engineer climbing into cab
2. Track inspection on the Metrolink stub track
3. #3 Southwest Chief arriving around 10:15am.  I was picking up some family members who rode in from New Mexico; they did not mind the delay too much because they were able to see Cajon Pass and other areas in daylight.

All very unusual telephoto angles!  Very good!

Boy, that station track on the left in #3 sure looks rickety compared to the new tracks on the right.  Is that where 3751 parks occasionally?

That's the track that connects to the two house tracks. The telephoto smash makes it look far worse then it really is.

Yes, and other stored rolling stock. Like PHall said, it connects to the stub house tracks. Telephoto effect plus the rails bases & ties have a lot of ballast cover making them look even smaller. Those Main rails do look huge tho.
