Recent Shots of #6 Around Lincoln, NE

Got some shots of a tardy #6 last Saturday and again yesterday. The first two shots were taken last Satuday about midway between Waverly and Greenwood, east of Lincoln. The engineer on last Saturday's train always honks and waves and that day was no exception. If it's too cold to open his window, his had will be plastered against the window. AMT 190 and 19 were power that day.

I usually check the Amtrak website every morning to see if there is any chance for daylight shots of these nocturnal trains. After all the problems caused by flooding this spring, things have started to get back to normal but yesterday was an exception. Not sure what happened but the train was EXTREMELY late. The next 3 shots are at Melia (east of Ashland, NE) late yesterday afternoon.
