Amtrak Rail Service Partially Restored between St. Louis and Kansas CityJune 12, 2019 04:00 PMOne daily Missouri River Runner round-trip, with chartered buses providing substitute transportation the other round-trip, effective Thursday, June 13Amtrak and the Missouri Department of Transportation are restoring one of the two daily Missouri River Runner round-trips between St. Louis and Kansas City. Starting Thursday, June 13, Trains 311 & 314, the morning departures from St. Louis and Kansas City, will operate. The afternoon departures continue to be represented by chartered buses as substitute transportation and stopping at all stations as close to the train schedules as possible.Delays are to be expected. Flooding issues on the Union Pacific Railroad network are resulting in freight train traffic being diverted to the Missouri River Runner route.

Doing it the Amtrak way, #311 is now over 5 hours late at Warrensburg. Still stopped at the station, that puts it over 6 hours late down line... That's my Amtrak!
