TRE is the heavy-duty workhorse. TEXRail uses brand-new Stadler FLIRT DMU trains. TRE uses aging/rebuilt F59/F59PHI locomotives and Bombardier bi-level coaches. TEXRail conductors wear formal conductors uniforms. TRE crews wear golf shirts and baseball caps. TEXRail serves the airport directly; no change of trains, no shuttle buses. The TRE stops at a station 4 miles south of the airport and requires two changes of buses to get to the terminals. TEXRail runs 7 days a week. The TRE runs Monday-Saturday only, on most Sundays in November, but never on hoildays. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/09/19 19:47 by SAAP. |
