Newton Thruway

I have a quesiton regarding the Newton, KS to Oklahoma City Amtrak Thruway bus service.  The question regards late Southwest Chief trains.  If trains 3 or 4 are late so as to delay the southbound bus so that the bus cannot make the Heartland Flyer departure in OKC, what is done with the through passengers?  Does the bus leave the folks in Newton?  Are the folk re-accomodated on alternate transportation in OKC?  If anyone is aware of this operation please advise as to procedure.

Thanks....

Back up plan is, 6:15am Bee Line Express -Salina to Wichita bus. https://www.beeline-express.com/beeline/files/fares-2019-05-07.pdf
It normally only stops at the Newton truck stop(Newells), but the driver calls the Newton ticket agent every morning to see if he needs to pick up any late Amtrak passengers.
If the train is really really late, then cabs are called to transport passengers to Wichita.  This system works well for Wichita passengers, but the Oklahoma City and connecting
passengers to the Heartland Flyer, are rebooked on a Greyhound bus to Dallas.  That bus doesn't leave Wichita until 12:40pm.  That makes for a very long day!  It's kind of a bad deal, & a tough message to give to passengers, some who have been on the train all the way from California.  You see, on the days the Sunset/Eagle doesn't run through, the Amtrak computer routes passengers on #4 to Newton then thruway to Oklahoma City, thence Heartland Flyer.  It's actually about the same amount of travel time to Fort Worth, that is, if you don't miss the thruway at Newton.
