Unfortunately, the other photographer moved to get his going away video, so I missed my turn around in place shot and had to settle for this grab shot.

The cars are CATALPA FALLS, COLONIAL CRAFTS, and FRANK THOMPSON.

Photo 2 is interesting since SEPTA cooperated with a set of MU's in the background headed west to Paoli, etc.

One engine, 9 cars, through a mountain district.  Impressive.

Chrchbob - thanks for the great photos.  The single locomotive did well with the 9 car consist. First round trip for the Catalpa Falls which last saw an Amtrak train during the winter of 1971-72, first time on the PRR tracks since a ORHS excurstion behind 765 from Oriville (OH) to Pittsburgh probably 20 years ago. The three car PRR consist looked and rode great and the passengers enjoyed their New York - Pittsbugh round trip, I am sure.

Colonial Crafts is somewhat unique as it has no side doors and requires another car or access.

The Colonial Crafts does, in fact, have a vestibule with side doors.
