Amtrak Long Distance Charger Test Train

The Amtrak LD Charger test train returns to Chicago today, leaving Oakland today, and operating on the Zephyr corridor.

The test train is due into Sacramento around 1 pm today (Friday).

I believe the title gives a clue, i.e. the "Charger" locomotives.

Look for more testing to br performed this winter.

If they stay on schedule, it should be about the same time as the Zephyr.

part of test was test viewliner  2 sleepers on western trains

I wonder what number (if any) this train has. I remember the Talgo train that went west from Chicago to La Junta early last year had a special Amtrak train number. You could bring it up on Transitdocs but it wouldn't show on the status map. Hopefully it stays close to the normal Zephyr so it's somewhat predictable.

As of 1:11 PM sunday #6 was still at LNK and the test train should be right behind it.

Transitdocs or any AMTRAK Status map has not shown the Test Train as it is not in regular serevice.
Am I correct here?
