 Four nominees for the Amtrak board, who are all well-established figures in Republican politics, are being held up in the Senate over the passenger rail corporation’s handling of some long-distance routes.

Thats the entire blurb from today’s Politico. More to follow.

Could be something, or nothing. Hopefully it goes the right direction.

Nothing being said about thier being unqualified. No rail experiece.

That just means they're the same as the rest of the board.

So keeping unchanged the current board who are overseeing Anderson's destruction of Amtrak is good news?

These 4 people appointed by Trump are on record as wanting Amtrak dismantled and eliminated as we know it.  Complete ideologues.

Like the acting Secretary of Labor who made his name as a union buster.  Or, the National Labor Relations Board, which is trying to break its own union of professional employees. And just issued an edict making it easier to decertify a union.

It's consistent, that's for sure.

Rail experience is not a requirement 

"general business and financial experience, experience or qualifications in transportation, freight and passenger rail transportation, travel, hospitality, cruise line, or passenger air transportation businesses, or representatives of employees or users of passenger rail transportation or a State government"

I hope they stay there, all this is leading is Trump trying to be the 1ST President to finally get rid of the so called 'burden' to taxpayers!
