Passenger Trains > When You Don't Plan Ahead......

....your going away shot looks like the 3rd one in this thread.

Flooding in the western portion of the California Zephyr's eastbound journey caused an 8 hour delay in the train's arrival at Lincoln, NE.  TO'er scotty and I headed southwest out of Lincoln to intercept 6 at a location I've shot Amtrak at only once before.

The wet spring and summer has produced some tall weeds here so a little weed control was needed to clear the way for the oncoming shots.  Had I glanced over my shoulder, it would have been apparent that the going away shot was blocked by a small tree!  (that tree wasn't that tall last time I was here, guess it likes the rain too!)

Amtrak's 46 and 27 were doing the honors at Wittstruck Road, just north of Berks 8-10-2019.

You're right!  Probably should've taken 2 or 3 steps to my left before snapping the shutter.....but, there would have been a 5 foot drop off.  (geezers don't like falling....too brittle)
