Passenger Trains > "Heritage Saturday"Date: 09/07/19 14:13 "Heritage Saturday" Author: aussiehinz Two out of the three Amtrak long distance trains from the east arrived in Chicago behind specially painted heritage locomotives this morning. Train #30, the "Capitol Limited," was first, behind P42 #130 in its Phase 2 livery. Although #130 is the most recently painted of the Amtrak heritage units, as a replacement for the grade crossing wounded #66, it sports the most battle scarred face of the bunch. An hour later, #49, the "Lake Shore Limited," from New York and Boston, arrived behind Phase 4 #184. A good day to be out and about. Here are some views of the two trains turning, both at "MH" Tower and 18th Street.
