Texas Eagle

Can anybody tell me why it takes the Texa Eagle 3hours and 25 minutes to go from Austin to San Antonio.  It is 82 miles.  I've ridden the Eagle a lot, but always get off in Austin.

Thanks for any answers.

Padding in the schedule is worth an hour of that. Notice that it's scheduled an hour faster the other way.

Part of that time is backing out of the depot in San Antonio.
