New BART cars sitting in Stockton, CA.

Please pardon the awful cell phone pics but I thought this was interesting nonetheless. There are currently 5 new Bay Area Rapid Transit cars sitting on trailers in Stockton, California. Location is in the equipment yard of Bragg Crane Service, 2420 E. 8 Mile Rd. This is a long established company that does all manor of heavy lifting but this is the first rail equipment I’ve seen at this location.

Heavy Transport does a lot of rail car hauling, and this is the former Triple R Heavy Haul. Heavy Transport moves a lot of the Siemens light rail cars when it is not possible to ship by rail. They also serviced the car builders located at the old USS Steel mill in Pittsburg.
