FRA approves environmental study for WAS-RIC HRS

Not sure how soon funding for construction will be developed, but this, along the plans for a 4 Track Long Bridge across the Potomac River are major steps for improvements between Washington and Richmond, VA.

DC2RVA sounds like a vanity plate. A lot of money already spent and that does not even get you a plan. Be nice if it ever happens. 

Is that a typo in your title line?   WAS-RIC HRS.  HRS should be HSR.   At first I thought they were planning a line to Harrisonburg.  Passenger service Harrisonburg to DC would be interesting.
