Passenger Trains > Redlands Passenger Rail Project Update 10/05/19Date: 10/05/19 09:28 Redlands Passenger Rail Project Update 10/05/19 Author: SCAX3401 Over the past week, brand new 136 pound welded rail was delivered for the Redlands Passenger Rail Project. There are about 45 quarter mile strings sitting along the right-of-way just west of Tippecanoe Ave in San Bernardino. This should be enough for just over half the total rail needed for this project. The welded rail train that delivered the rail is parked just west of the stockpiled rail but isn't in the right place to photograph (its visible in the background of one of my photos). The rail was rolled in August 2019 so it hasn't been sititng around very long.

------------------------------------------------------- > And how it was delivered there? You can see an empty welded rail train parked past the stockpiled rail. From the marks on the ground, they used a rubber trie excavator to pull the rail off the train. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/05/19 13:33 by BNSF6400.
