The construction is mind-boggling going on between the Orlando airport and the juncture with the FEC near Port Canaveral.

All along 528 there are hundreds of workers clearing trees and grading land.

The rail train was dropping rail in Jupiter and Tequesta today. GP40-2 438 WAS the power.

How long does it take Brightline to test a crossing before it goes into service?  I'm asking to compare it to SMART and how they are taking three months of testing before blessing 2 miles of new ROW.

So far, almost all BL Crossings were already Florida East Coast crossings.

I don't have a specific value, but two to three months sounds right for testing the speed updated crossings. The quiet zone construction and thetesting went on for a long time after that.

The town meeting in Jupiter went .about as expected. Not well

Virgin / BrightLine presented its plans for a second track from the Palm Beach Gardens town line, past the Trump National Golf Course / Jonathan's Landing, up over the Loxahatchee River bridge, through Tequesta, and into the Jonathan Dickinson Park in Martin County. This would use the remaining money from the first bond offering.

The 1925 bridge would be rebuilt, but not replaced. And would appear to remain just one track. That's a change. Several crossings will close for a few days to a few weeks. That irritated a lot of residents, as prior road closings have limited the number of remaining cross overs. The Toney Penna Road crossing was recently rebuilt with a single track, and that was severely rrestricted for several weeks.

The context was more informational than confrontational. The town doesn't want to spent millions to oppose sometheing where the fix is already in, but would prefer to minimize the disturbance that relocating utility lines, installing the new track, rebuilding wider crossings, etc will inevitably create.
