Empire Builder 8(28) has a freight engine leading, BNSF 5917, ahead of AMTK 176. Insufficient power was available at Spokane where the Seattle and Portland sections combine/split, possibly due to the total failure of AMTK 142 on the Seattle section of 8(27).
